Eleven UPEI Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering (FSDE) teams, composed of a total of 41 students, competed at the 2024 Atlantic Engineering Competition (AEC), hosted at University of New Brunswick Fredericton from January 19–21, 2024, by the Atlantic Council of Engineering Students.

Dr. Callum Beck, a sessional instructor in religious studies at the University of Prince Edward Island, has been awarded a $7,000 SSHRC Exchange Publication Award for his monograph, The Belfast Riot of 1847.

The University of Prince Edward Island congratulates the 95 student-athletes who earned U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian status for the 2022–2023 season. This number represents 49.5 per cent of UPEI’s 192 varsity student-athletes.

In sports, stories of late bloomers turning heads are rare finds. Chloe Collin is one of those rare finds—an athlete who has moved from the dance floor to the basketball court, culminating in her commitment to the UPEI Women’s Basketball Panthers for the 2024 season.
