In celebration of the PEI Pride Festival, July 18–25, UPEI has joined the PEI government, municipalities, and other organizations across PEI in flying the Pride flag for the week at the flag plaza near Kelley Memorial Building and at UPEI Alumni Canada Games Place.

UPEI has formed a partnership with 10 other Atlantic Canadian universities and Atlantic Business Magazine with a goal of making the region’s business schools and business community more inclusive.

UPEI Vice-President Administration and Finance Jackie Podger issued a message to the campus community about mask-wearing guidance following an update from the PEI Chief Public Health Office.

The UPEI community was saddened to hear about the passing of SDU alumnus William “Billy” Mulligan, who died on June 25 at the age of 81 in Saint John, NB, after suffering heart complications.

UPEI’s Back 50 Project is hitting the road!

The PEI Symphony is presenting a unique concert called The Orchestra Deconstructed on Sunday, July 11, at 3 pm, during the Indian River Festival.

Dr. Greg Keefe, Dean of Veterinary Medicine at the Atlantic Veterinary College at UPEI, has been extended for a three-year term effective July 1, 2021.

Dr. Anne Marie Carey will assume the role of Associate Dean Academic and Student Affairs at the Atlantic Veterinary College, effective July 1, 2021. 

Earlier this year, UPEI faculty and librarians were invited to nominate colleagues for appointments to the rank of Professor Emeritus. The Professor Emeritus Evaluation Committee considered all nominees and forwarded its recommendations to the University Senate.

In a message sent to current and incoming students on June 11, Associate Vice-President of Students and Registrar Donna Sutton encouraged students to get vaccinated prior to the Fall Academic Semester.
